Ashley & Josh - Mountain View Farm Wedding Preview - Rougemont NC Photographer
The weekend that Hurricane Matthew came through, Will and I said extra prayers that all three couples we were celebrating with throughout the weekend would be spared from any damage or flooding that would necessitate changes to their wedding plans. As Sunday came, we breathed a huge sigh of relief that all three weddings went off without a single change in plans. We were so relieved that we safely made it to and from all three weddings (though our Sunday wedding was a bit iffy as far as making it around flooded roads). Little did we know, the worst was to come for the East. We couldn't believe that as the week unfolded we saw so much damage around us, and we were heartbroken as we came to the realization that the next weekend's wedding would be the most affected by the aftermath of Matthew. Due to issues getting all vendors and supplies (as well as guests) safely to their venue, Macey and Brandon made the selfless decision to move their wedding celebration back to November, but chose to have a small ceremony to officially become husband and wife on October 15th. Though we were already booked for their wedding celebration date, we could not have been more thrilled to witness these two become Mr. and Mrs. Cox. I wish I could put into words just how much we have enjoyed getting to know these two over the last year or so. Macey is absolutely as sweet as they come and you can tell Brandon is her perfect match. We are so proud to know two people that handled such a terrible situation with such grace. Enjoy these photos of their best day ever.
