Amy & Asa - River Landing Wedding Preview - Wallace NC Photographer

Ya’ll, Sunday’s wedding was one of our favorite weddings ever. Now that we’ve shot over 300 weddings, I don’t just throw around the term “favorite” lightly. On our drive home, I thought for a long time about what made the day so special. It’s definitely a day that will stand out in my mind for years and years. And what I came up with is that it was all about the people. My favorite things in life always come down to people and the way they make you feel. Ya’ll, we LOVED working with Sunday’s bride and groom, Amy and Asa. I could spend all afternoon talking about just how awesome it was working with these two and the amazing way they made us feel. We walked into River Landing to drop off some of our gear and Asa was the first one to greet us with a smile and the most amazing, warmth and hospitality. When we went to check in on Amy and the girls, she too greeted us with the biggest, most genuine smile. Within five minutes of officially meeting Amy, she felt like the type of old friend that you want to have around forever. She is one of the happiest, most enthusiastic people I have ever known and it is simply infectious. It’s so easy to see that these two are meant for each other. I was physically tired from having shot a wedding the day before, but meeting Amy and Asa put me in the best mood mentally.

Another reason I feel like Sunday’s wedding will forever be one of my favorites is the fact that by the end of the day, I felt like I have known Asa and Amy throughout my entire life. They incorporated so much of who they ARE into the wedding day. They chose to have three bridesmaids and three groomsmen and it was so easy to see that each member of their wedding party was near and dear to them. There was so much laughter and giggling throughout the entire day. After spending the day with these two, it was so clear to see just how much they love God and incorporate His word and teachings into every aspect of their lives. It truly was a beautiful thing to see the day unfold and to find Him in every aspect. Often, many of our couples spend so much of their wedding day being nervous and worrying with small details of the day. It was truly a joy to see Asa and Amy be completely present in the moment and to ENJOY their day together while laughing and celebrating and taking in each moment of fellowship.

Asa and Amy are professional dancers so we suspected their reception would really be rocking, but we had no clue just how breathtaking their dance moves would be. Ya’ll, I can’t even clap on beat, so for me, it truly was amazing entertainment to see their grace, elegance, and comfort and the dance floor.

Ya’ll, I hope these photos will give you a glimpse into the awesomeness that was Amy and Asa’s wedding day. We can’t wait to share more photos and their video!
