Taylor & Perry - Colerain NC Wedding Preview - Bertie County NC Photographer
As I sit on our front stoop, typing up this blog post, the harsh reality is setting in that summer is almost over. I can still hear the crickets and a mosquito is circling me, but there’s something different about the air and the light this afternoon. I think the high today was in the mid-eighties, but even without a breeze, it doesn’t feel as hot and humid as it has been. I hate that summertime is slipping by. Yesterday, Will and I shot our last wedding of August, but it sure was bittersweet.
You see, we’ve been looking forward to Taylor and Perry’s wedding for what seems like forever now. First Corinthians tells us that love is patient, but Taylor and Perry’s journey to getting married proves just that. They were originally set to tie the knot back in April, but this pandemic had other plans in mind for them. They ended up changing not only their date, but also their venue. But these two kept the best attitude through it all! Yesterday was proof that the wait was worth it!
Taylor and Perry were all smiles from the moment we arrived. Their sheer joy was visible to everyone around. Yesterday’s forecast was a bit daunting, but Taylor and Perry were troopers when we asked them to move their first look up so that we would avoid the line of storms that were headed our way. Spoiler alert - the rain never came! We loved the moment when they saw each other for the first time - and the moments after were full of smiles and laughter, hugs and kisses. Taylor and Perry are simply perfect for each other and it shows in every way. We loved that they have surrounded themselves with happy-go-lucky, positive, fun-to-be-around friends and family. Not only was their wedding day beautiful in every way, but it was sooooo much fun. We can’t wait to edit all of their photos and put together their highlight film. But in the meantime, we hope you will enjoy these sneak peek photos.
