Alissa & Chad - The Robin's Nest Wedding Preview - Grimesland NC Photographer

Happy Monday, everyone! Can you believe that it’s only August 3rd and we have our first tropical storm moving through the area? Well, let me tell you Saturday at the Robin’s Nest, an adorable venue in Grimesland, we got our practice in for this tropical storm! I typically love a good summertime thunderstorm because they are usually short and sweet. Saturday’s thunderstorm… not so much! We kept watching the radar thinking that at any time the storms would break up and we’d get a break in the rain to take some photos. Well that didn’t happen until sunset. But to be honest, none of that really mattered because our couple, Alissa and Chad, weren’t about to let a little rain ruin their day. Alissa mentioned how romantic the rain would be, and you know, it truly was romantic coming down on the tin roof during the ceremony. Even a tropical storm-like never-ending thunderstorm could make their big day anything less than perfect!

We’ve known Alissa and her family for quite a while now and we’ve really enjoyed getting to know Chad throughout their wedding planning process. Alissa is one of the sweetest, funniest people I know and it’s such an amazing feeling watching her glow with happiness when Chad is around. Chad may be quiet, but he has a way of looking at Alissa and the whole world can see just how much he adores her.
