Nikki & Ren - American Tobacco Campus Engagement Session - Durham NC Photographer
Ya’ll, I really wish I had a better excuse for why I’m always behind on blogging. But to be completely honest, right now I don’t have one. Living in a pandemic has forced us to slow down a little more than usual. Our travels are basically on hold. We aren’t as busy as usual with family sessions (though I think this oppressive heat is more to blame for that than the pandemic). I’m not working at the hospital right now. So like I said… No real excuse for not blogging. Instead of the things that usually fill our days, Will and I have been soaking up every precious moment of summertime. We’ve got a kiddie pool that we bust out every few days in the backyard. We’ve been taking quite a few day trips to the beach. And we’ve had almost nightly walks to the golf course near our house where we’ve watched a few families of deer grow, the hawks on their nightly outings, and beavers in the creek. 2020 and the covid-19 pandemic will certainly leave a lasting impression, but we’re determined to fill this year with lots of good moments as well.
So tonight, as I sat down to pick a session to blog, the first session to come to mind was Nikki and Ren’s Durham, NC engagement session. It’s certainly a session that I should have blogged before now! When you scroll through these photos, you’ll notice Nikki started the session in a sweater and you may find it hard to believe the session was actually shot in June. After having to reschedule their session several times due to poor weather and covid-related reasons, we were blessed with a cool, overcast morning for their session. The cooler weather was definitely welcomed as we explored the American Tobacco Campus with Nikki and Ren. These two are incredibly photogenic and made our job so easy. We can’t wait for their November wedding!
