Hannah & James - Rock Creek Baptist Church & Elks Lodge Wedding Preview - Nashville NC Photographer
Can you guys believe that it is already mid-July? I know, I know, we’ve already passed the mid-way point and that makes me so sad. I LOVE summertime with every ounce of my being and there’s a bittersweetness to July for me. I love everything about the dog days of summer and after July 4th or so, every day that passes seems to be a reminder that summer always goes by in the blink of an eye. Most years our July isn’t particularly busy with weddings, but thanks to Covid-19, this July managed to be busier than usual with wedding reschedules. We’ve had so many good weddings to look forward to that I think our summer days have passed even more quickly than usual.
Hannah and James celebrated their amazing wedding on an epic July day. Yes there was stifling heat and an afternoon thunderstorm, but there were also amazing summertime colors and the feeling that the fun will never end as the crowd danced late into the night. Hannah and James may not have originally planned for a July wedding, but it was perfection in every way. Will and I have loved getting to know this amazing couple over the last few months. In an effort to keep their guests as safe as possible, they cut their guest list significantly, which meant they were surrounded by their nearest and dearest. But, boy, did this crowd bring the party! Both the bridesmaids and groomsmen kept the vibe upbeat and fun throughout the time leading up to the ceremony and then brought the dance party to the reception. Even with the smaller guest list, there was never a dull moment. It was so much fun watching the day unfold. My favorite moment hands down was Hannah and James’s first look. Their nerves seemed to go away from the minute they saw each other and it allowed for so much extra time in the day for photos. With the heat it was so nice to have the couple take breaks between photo opportunities.
Hannah and James, I know that Saturday was not what you originally planned for your wedding day, but I hope you felt all the love and excitement that we were able to observe. We appreciate you guys being troopers in the heat. Will and I will never forget just how amazing the day was!
