Throwback Thursday - Kirsten & Avery - Downtown Durham Engagement Session - Durham NC Photographer
Let me go ahead and make a confession. For the next several months, all of our Throwback Thursdays will likely point back to warmer days. I’m a summer girl through and through, and while I can admit that if I was the one in front of the camera, I likely wouldn’t choose June, July, or August for my session, but man am I ever glad that there are people in this world that are willing to embrace the photo goodness that is summertime. Also, you’ll be seeing lots of throwbacks coming up because to be completely honest, I’d rather spend my summer days outside instead of indoors working on a computer. Now, going through old photos is what gets me through the gloomy, dreary days.
So, today’s Throwback Thursday post is dedicated to one of our favorite couples of 2019. If you follow our blog, you’ve probably already seen their wedding day photos and video. Kirsten and Avery are from Durham and they LOVE their city. Not only did it make sense for them to have their wedding in Bull City, but they also wanted to explore downtown Durham and the iconic American Tobacco campus throughout their summertime engagement session. We love Durham and have been many times, but there’s nothing like having a local to really show you around. We shot this session back in June, but it was already one of those 90+ degree days. I’m not sure if it’s because Kirsten and Avery knew they were leaving later that afternoon for a quick trip to the mountains where it would be cooler, but they were absolute troopers in the heat! I guess that’s a good thing since their October wedding day also was 90+ degrees.
We hope you will enjoy scrolling through some of our favorite shots from this adorable, fun couple’s engagement session!
